Today I will continue my talk with my friend and colleague Dr. Rod Dempsey. He will share things that every pastor, elder and deacon and seminary student needs to hear and apply to their ministry. Rod has a heart for God and pastors. He is a Professor of Educational Ministries as well as an Associate Pastor at Thomas Road Baptist Church. Dr. Dempsey has served as a church planter, Christian education pastor, membership pastor, small group pastor, and elder prior to coming to Lynchburg in 2003. Dr. Dempsey met his wife Patti while attending Liberty University. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and five grandchildren. He has published numerous books and articles related to discipleship, spiritual formation, small groups and team leadership. Dr. Dempsey teaches classes primarily at the graduate level related to discipleship and leadership. His passion is to glorify Christ by being a multiplier of multipliers for the Great Commission.
