Vickie Runk
Vickie Runk, co-founder of Runk & Pratt Senior Living, has spent more than 38 years advancing senior care in Central Virginia, with a focus on Alzheimer’s and dementia support. She helped champion innovative memory-support environments, including multi-sensory Snoezelen rooms that use light, sound, and texture to reduce anxiety and improve quality of life. A leading advocate and fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association, she has raised more than $1 million and ranks among the nation’s top individual fundraisers. Through the Pearls of Life Foundation, she leads year-round education, seminars, and support groups for families. She also serves on the Commonwealth Council on Aging and on the boards of Freedom First Bank and The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation.
